Kim Kardashian is joined by sister Kourtney in her very first Snapchat post... after nude selfie controversy on Twitter


Kim kardashian was embroiled in a war of words with a few other stars on Twitter.
And it looks like she needed to hop on a new social network as the controversy died down. The 35-year-old reality star joined Snapchat late Tuesday night as she commemorated the momentous occasion with yet another selfie.

She was joined by her older sister Kourtney Kardashian as they made faces in the social media post.
Kim wrote out her signature in hot pink as she captioned the post: 'My very first snap!!!!'
This comes just hours after she penned an essay on her website calling an end to 'slut-shaming' and saying that people need to get over her sex tape. 
The reality star said she wouldn't apologize for being 'empowered' by her sexuality in an essay she penned for her app and website KimKardashianWest.com for International Women's day on Tuesday - one day after her nude selfie sparked a social media uproar and online spats with Bette Midler, Chloe Grace Moretz and Piers Morgan.

'It always seems to come back around to my sex tape,' wrote Kim of the critics. 'Yes, a sex tape that was made 13 years ago. 13 YEARS AGO. Literally that lonnng ago. And people still want to talk about it?!?!' 
'I lived through the embarrassment and fear, and decided to say who cares, do better, move on,' she wrote of the sex tape, which was made with her old boyfr'Comfortable in my skin': The mother-of-two shared another nude photo on Twitter on Monday, adding the hashtag '#liberated'iend Ray J.
'I am empowered by my body. I am empowered by my sexuality,' she wrote. 
'I am empowered by feeling comfortable in my skin,' she said. 'I am empowered by showing the world my flaws and not being afraid of what anyone is going to say about me.
'And I hope that through this platform I have been given, I can encourage the same empowerment for girls and women all over the world.'
And Kim ended with a call for the 'slut-shamming' to stop.

'I shouldn't have to constantly be on the defense, listing off my accomplishments just to prove that I am more than something that happened 13 years ago. 
Writing on her website on Tuesday, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star said that by being proud of her body and sexuality she hopes to use her fame to empower young women to also feel confident and embrace their bodies.
